Now booked

Okay, my place on the Great Wall of China trek for charity is now booked and confirmed and all is going well so far. I now have £900 pledged for the charity already which is fantastic news at such an early stage.
I have asked anyone in the locality, friends and family if they have any unwanted items that can be used for my pending car boot sale and items are already pouring in which is great that people are helping me out. However, the more items the better, so if anyone has anything of no use, I am happy to collect within the Oldham/Rochdale/Middleton areas so please....drop me a line if you can donate anything that is 'sale-able'.
I have also bought two walking poles to help with the trek and I'm hoping to get some practice in with them next week while in North Yorkshire, so here goes.
I have also learnt that there are no/few toilets along the Great Wall of China, and if a toilet break is required, then a bush will have to do. Because of this, I have ordered a 'She-wee'....a device to help women having a pee! All I can suggest if you want to know more is to just 'Google it'!

My first steps to getting organised for my event.

I've got my medical certificate off the doctor, completed all the forms so i can take part in the event and paid my deposit direct to Dr Kershaws hospice. A deposit is required to secure my place on the trip and to show your a serious fundraiser. This is all towards to overall funds for the charity. So all the paperwork is sorted and its time for the training....

Today i went for a 4 mile walk in the snow must be mad, but need to do some walking....with me being lazy and all its going to kill me. I have to walk for 4-5 hours on day one and 6-7 hours for the next 4 days. I hate walking to school or the shop, this is going to be a really hard challenge.
